What is Community Foundation ?

Community foundation is a public grantmaking charity that raises funds from a variety of sources, with the aim of building an endowment as a permanent resource for a local community. They are well known in the U.S. . In the U.S., there are approximately 780 community foundations. Globally, there are 1,441 community foundations in 51 countries.  In Asia, community foundations exist in India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand , Vietnam ,China, Indonesia, Malaysia,Pakistan,Bangladesh and the Philippines.


มูลนิธิชุมชน คือ?

มูลนิธิชุมชนเป็นองค์กรสาธารณกุศล  ที่มีการระดมทุนจากแหล่งต่างๆ โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายที่จะมอบทุนเพื่อให้เกิดการสร้างทุนที่มั่นคงถาวรให้กับชุมชนท้องถิ่น  สำหรับมูลนิธิชุมชนนั้นเป็นที่รู้จักกันดีในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา  โดยเฉพาะในสหรัฐอเมริกามีมูลนิธิชุมชนประมาณ 780 แห่ง  และทั่วโลกมีการก่อเกิดของมูลนิธิชุมชนประมาณ  1,441 แห่งใน 51 ประเทศ  ในเอเชียได้มีการก่อตั้งมูลนิธิชุมชนอยู่มากมายทั้งในประเทศอินเดีย, ญี่ปุ่น, สิงคโปร์, เกาหลีใต้, ไทย, เวียดนาม, จีน, อินโดนีเซีย, มาเลเซีย, ปากีสถาน, บังคลาเทศและฟิลิปปินส์
